Synagogue on the grounds of the Worlitz Gardens. It was built in 1790 by order of Duke Leopold III of Anhalt-Dessau. The furnishing of the Wörlitz Synagogue was destroyed during Kristallnacht in November 1938; however, the building itself was saved due to the intervention of Hans Hallervorden, who was the garden director at that time.
